Kopenhagen Coffee, [KL,Malaysia]

Kopenhagen Coffee.

You might ever hear before Copenhagen from Danish which is a place with abundant of coffee shops. Now you could experience Copenhagen’s cafe culture at Malaysia – Kopenhagen Coffee.

Kopenhagen Coffee – one of the most hipster cafe in town recently. A place with minimalist style you may feel homely and Hygge (Danish word used to acknowledge a special feeling/moment- cozy & charming). The owner from Danish would ensure Kopenhagen Coffee provides quality food similar to Denmark, they offer varieties of pastries and breakfast set and all these pastries were made by a home baker.

With the ample of natural lighting you could just bring a good book and settle down by sit at the window seat to spend your entire day here. Would not recommend you to head to this cafe on weekends as tables are pretty limited.

My cup of coffee was decent and I really love the pretty cups here. ?

Now you could get these pretty cups imported from Denmark at Kopenhagen Coffee and it costs Rm38/each.

越南 ⋅ [ VIETNAM ]

Best season to visit Vietnam is Spring season (February to April) and Autumn season (August to October).  All destinations and temperatures are pleasant.

【 HANOI. 】

Hanoi was my first taste of Vietnam. The capital is charming.
Hanoi has a lot of beauty for one to take in.  The architecture might abit messy but pleasing to the eyes.

For me Hanoi is a busy city with many vehicles and scooters. The traffic is massive. Crossing the streets might be a challenge for who didn’t experience Vietnam before but soon you will become accustomed to it and escaping the motorbike riders. It seemed to always be buzzing with people and everywhere was crowded especially night time and weekends .

I personally love the Hanoi’s Old Quarter area. The Old Quarter is a beautiful place, you’d be in awe.

I really wish I had more time to stay in Hanoi. The weather was great – less humid and cooler.  I really enjoyed walking through all the alleys and interact with the locals. The Vietnamese love to chilling with tea and coffee and engaging in some small talk. Most places will have small plastic stools and some small tables that are literally placed besides the road.

In Hanoi old quarter, there is a narrow street that has a train rushing through twice a day.

You able to see locals sitting on their doorsteps going about their lives such as drinking tea, hanging laundry, washing dishes besides the train tracks. It was so surreal.

Tips: Do visit at 3.30pm and 7pm

Local bustling wholesale market with open air concept and extreme variety. You probably could found everything that you were looking for such as souvenirs or local foods/snacks here.

Cau Long Bien (Long Bien Bridge) -One of the longest bridges in Asia, designed by Gustave Eiffel. Total 2.4kilometres in length.

If you were in Hanoi don’t forget to visit this iconic bridge if you have time. It’s a railway bridge but with a lane besides railway track for pedestrians and motorbikes.

Hoan Kiem Lake is a tranquil spot with welcoming atmosphere.
You could spend a day sat right in the center or walk around or enjoy a peaceful lunch or tea time overlooking the gorgeous view here.

A nice architecture cathedral nestled in the old quarter area.

Halong Bay Day Tour ( USD35 /tour)
Call time is morning 8am and  4-hour bus ride to Ha Long Bay.

You can’t leave without experiencing Vietnam’s most beautiful natural wonder- Ha Long Bay.  The day tour is about have sumptuous lunch on a traditional boat, kayaking at local fish village and explore some caves.

That view is magnificent from the top of the hill.  Halong Bay is one of the places I’d been most looking forward to visit and it didn’t disappoint me with the majestic view.

Thien Cung Cave(Heavenly Cave) is a beautiful limestone rock formations. The cave is beautifully illuminated by rainbow colors lighting.

Da Nang is the third largest city in Central Vietnam. It’s a transit stop for us as we want to go to Hoi An by bus from here.

【 Da Nang Nha Tho Con Ga】

The beautiful pale pink cathedral in tranquil setting.

【 HOI AN.】

Hoi An – The Venice of  Vietnam.

The beautiful UNESCO Ancient Town – Hoi An greets us with the uniform yellow buildings and many colorful lanterns.

There are many cafes available in Hoi An. We indulge on many Vietnamese foods, iced coffees and desserts here.

Local bus from Danang to Hoi An for 20,000 VND /per person.

[Hoi An Roastery]

Hoi An Roastery as known as Starbucks of Hoi An.

They have several branches in the town. Love their cozy atmosphere and you may just sit on the sofas entire day overlooking the busy street. And their cakes & coffee and Goi Cuon (Spring Roll) were excellent!

[Reaching Out Tea House]

My fave cafe in Hoi An was the Reaching Out Tea House. It’s different and significant because most of the staffs here are people with disabilities.

Communication isn’t a problem as menu, papers and pencils will be given and we could mark our orders and hand them back to them.

When the sun sets, it’s a great time to strolling around and take photos as the lights ignite and the old town turns into an romantic town.

From Danang’s Train Station travel south to Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam’s railways.

Train journey always my fave journey especially covering long distances. I have always found to be enjoyable. It’s advisable to book train tickets in advance – we pre- booked our train -tickets online with [12goasia]  -this is a travel agency that specializes in transportation tickets within Vietnam. Hassle – FREE!

We opted the first class -soft sleeper and tickets cost (RM230 each). The entire journey was around 18 hours. The soft sleeper with 4-berth cabin and we shared with some Local Vietnamese people.

Food and beverages can be bought on board – We enjoy our coffee in the morning at the restaurant overlooking the breathtaking coastal scenery .Though it’s definitely a better idea to bring your own food for the long journeys.

Discover the charm of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh, formerly Saigon, is a buzzing modern city rich with history and culture.

【 Saigon Central Post Office】

One of the popular landmark of Saigon. Old French colonial building still functioning as a post office.

【 Mocking Bird Coffee】

Mocking bird cafe- located at 14 Ton That Dam in District 1. This is a hidden gem cafe with cozy atmosphere in Saigon. It’s nestled inside the building what looks like an abandoned building. This old tenement building have many varieties of hipster cafes and boutiques.

【 La Rotonde Saigon】

This cafe is like a cool apartment nestled in the Saigon city with excellent view. Really love the comfortable seats and beautiful natural lighting streaming in from the sunroof here. Stylish interior and also retaining a Vietnamese feel as well. And their Vietnamese coffee was surprisingly good.

【 Notre Dame Cathdral】

One of the most beautiful churches in Vietnam.

A beautiful yellow French colonial style villa in the old town serves Vietnamese cuisine with good atmosphere.  If you want to try the decent Vietnamese foods, without having to search all over the streets in Vietnam,  this is the place for you. Absolutely beautiful place to eat in. They also provide Eat ALL You Can with 250K VND per person. That’s a steal.

Street food plays a dominant role in Vietnam. Just Eat  *Hahaha

1.) Banh Can (Vietnamese pancake)

2.) Banh Mi (French Toast)

3.) Gui Cuon (Spring Roll)

4.) Pudding

5.) Chao Ga (Porridge)

6.) Cha Gio (Fried Spring Roll)

7.) Pho (Vietnamese Noodle Soup)

I’ve been to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) , I’ve to say that I prefer Hanoi’s chaotic nature. *LOL
Thank you for the good times Vietnam! I’ll be back and explore more. ! ♡
